Autumn leaves

Sophie and Steve chose to have their wedding in October and it’s such a beautiful time of year. Crunching leaves, vibrant views and the red-tinted golden hues make this earthy season a wonderful time to get married outside, surrounded by nature.

The wedding venue, Hockwold Hall is surrounded by 40 acres of parkland that includes 5 acres of stunning walled gardens. Delightfully secluded, the majestic ornamental gardens offered a breathtaking backdrop for a wedding ceremony.

Hockwold Hall is a spectacular Grade II listed manor nestled in a small Breckland village in Norfolk, near the borders of Suffolk and Cambridgeshire counties and only 30 miles from Cambridge. The estate marries historic charm with natural beauty and was once the Royal home of Prince Victor Duleep Singh, godson of Queen Victoria.

The Grand Marquee was beautifully decorated and the autumn theme ran through every little detail, from pumpkins on the tables to a stunning wedding cake, surrounded by autumn leaves. Which I later learnt the Bride and her mother had made and decorated together.

After some lovely speeches and one very funny Best man speech, wedding guests were quick to hit the reception dance floor and dance until the early hours.
