Autumn leaves
A beautiful, bright autumnal morning in October and Mike and Sarah chose to have their mini explorer session in Ampthill Great Park, Bedfordshire.
We were so lucky, the leaves on the trees were changing colour and the park looked magnificent.
Being local to Ampthill, the parkland and woodland held sentimental value to them and it was somewhere they enjoyed visiting as a family often. It seemed like a perfect spot for me to photograph the family, having an outdoor adventure and doing something they all love to do together.
We were mainly led by the children to be honest! Enjoying nature and playing as they went on their own little adventure into the woods. I just photographed the family and children having fun, being themselves.
We spent 5/10 mins taking some relaxed family photos and then it was on to being unposed so everyone could relax and be themselves without worrying about the camera!
Nestled in Bedfordshire, Ampthill Great Park is huge and covers over 160 acres so there was lots to explore!
Not only is the parkland a beautiful place to visit, it’s an important historic site. Henry VIII hunted here and the landscape was created by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown in the 18th century.
