A Saturday like any other …

This was a Saturday like any other. And that’s exactly what the family wanted me to capture!

Just a moment. A fleeting moment in their family life.

Es had learnt to ride her bike the day before I visited and was keen to get out on the open road! So the session kicked started with some peddling up and down the street.

The camera gear; including eight lenses, two camera bodies and flashes definitely felt much heavier, running alongside Es whilst photographing the action! Whilst you can have some fun shooting with slow shutter speeds, the real joy was capturing her expressions and the absolute pride and excitement on her face.

Es felt so good about riding her bike, she rode it to the park. We stopped at Cottenham village green along the way for a snack, which was a perfect spot in this idilic little village in Cambridgeshire.

We then then played at the playground and finished off with lunch and a well deserved ice-cream!

Once Es was re-charged we took a few relaxed family photos, a really nice keepsake!
